How To User Friedrich Air Conditioner ( Complete Guide)
A Guide How To User Friedrich Air Conditioner
Getting Started
Familiarize yourself with the remote control and control panel. The remote controls temperature, modes, fan speeds, timers, etc. The control panel may have some additional controls.
Make sure the unit is plugged in and power is flowing to the outlet. Ensure any disconnect switches near the condenser outside are turned to the ON position.
Open the front panel on the indoor unit to expose the air filter. Inspect and clean or replace the filter as needed. Dirty filters can restrict airflow.
Setting the Mode
Press the MODE button on your remote control to cycle between cool, energy saver (varies cool & fan), fan, and dry modes. Select cool when you want full cooling.
Adjusting the Temperature
Use the arrow or temp buttons on the remote to set your desired temp. Lowering the temp below 70°F in cool mode increases cooling power.
Controlling the Fan
Press the FAN button to choose auto or one of typically 3 manual fan speeds. Auto will vary speeds to maintain temp. Higher speeds provide increased airflow.
Using Airflow Directional Louvers
Adjust the vertical and horizontal louvers using the adjustment knobs/levers to control the direction of airflow in the room. This helps evenly distribute cooled air.
Setting Timers
Use the TIMER ON and TIMER OFF buttons to set the times you want the unit to turn on and off automatically. This allows scheduling comfort when needed.
